James and Helen Tetlow were in Cuba when
the Michelle Hurricaine hit the island and the word of mouth that they want to tell us is
"SWIMMING WITH DOLPHINS AT VARADERO"
Whilst Varadero is far from the best that Cuba has to offer, is almost worth the trip just for the opportunity to swim with dolphins.
These fantastic animals will push and pull you around the water with incredible grace and power.
Kissing them is obligatory and a tummy rub goes down well too.
A VERY SPECIAL EXPERIENCE.! ! !
In the picture James is being kissed by three Dolphins at Varadero. November 12, 2001.
The water is so clear that from the surface you can see the sandy bottom 25 meters below and all the coral and fish inbetween.
Even more breathtaking is the coral precipice that gives way to a seemingly bottomless deep blue water below.
To swim along the side of this coral wall, with nothing below you is an exhilerating experience.
