WAYS TO NAVIGATE THE MEMORIAL LISTING PAGE - The next page lists the names of all the nurses within the Virtual Nurses' Memorial. - To view the circumstance of death of any individual, click on their first name. - To view all the circumstances in a sequential manner, click on the Next button at the bottom of the Listings page and then subsequent Next buttons. - As research for the VNM progressed, Groupings were developed for various reasons. For example, those who died in military service or "civilian" life. There are also Groupings within these Groups, e.g. different wars within military or situations within civilian, e.g. World Trade Center, Red Cross. Some circumstances that were not strictly on-the-job, but considered relevant to the overall purpose of the memorial are grouped in Other Perspectives. As no name is repeated on the next page, one should look in the various groups if one does not find a specific person. While it would be best to have a Search function, Yahoo/GeoCities that provides free web sites does not have this feature. [Except for one ad banner that appears on a page in exchange for the free space, the VNM is not a commercial web site.] To facilitate relatively quick downloading of a page, the size of pages was kept small. Therefore some groups may contain a couple of pages, e.g. the World Trade Center has four. Thank you. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO PROCEED |
