Alexander, Eleanor Grace: Died Nov. 30,1967 in a plane crash near Pleiku. Capt. Alexander, of Westwood, New Jersey, was stationed at the 85th Evac. She was 27.* | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Donovan, Pamela Dorothy: Died July 8,1968 after becoming seriously ill while assigned to the 85th Evac. in Qui Nhon. Lt. Donovan, from Allston, Massachusetts was 26 years old.* | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Drazba, Carol Ann: Died Feb. 18,1966 in a helicopter crash near Saigon were she was stationed in the 3rd Army Field Hospital. Lt. Drazba, 22, was from Dunmore, Pennsylvania. * | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Graham, Annie Ruth: August, 1968. Lt. Col. Graham was Chief Nurse at 91st Evac. Hospital, Tuy Hoa. She suffered a stroke in August 1968 and was evacuated to Japan where she died. Annie was from Efland, South Carolina and was a veteran of both World War II and Korea, she was 52. * | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Klinker, Mary Therese was a flight nurse assigned to Clark Air Base in the Philippines. She was on the C-5A Galaxy which crashed on April 4,1975 outside Saigon while evacuating Vietnamese orphans. This is known as the Operation Babylift crash. Capt. Klinker was from Lafayette, Indiana and was 27. She was posthumously awarded the Airman's Medal for Heroism and the Meritorious Service Medal. * | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Jones, Elizabeth: Died Feb. 18,1966 in a helicopter crash near Saigon where she was assigned to the 3rd Army Field Hospital. Lt. Jones, 22, was from Allendale, South Carolina.* |

Lane, Sharon A. Lt.: Died June 8, 1969 when a rocket slammed into the 312th Evacuation Hospital in Chu Lai, Vietnam where Sharon was a nurse in the US Army Nurse Corp. She was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, as well as others in addition to various recognitions such as Outstanding Nurse of the Year by the Daughters of the American Revolution. Sharon was from Canton, Ohio and a statute was dedicated in her honor at Aultman Hospital School of Nursing from which she graduated in 1965. Orlowski, Hedwig Diane: Died November 30, 1967. Lt.Orlowski was stationed at the 67th Evac., in Qui Nhon, and had been sent to a hospital in Pleiku to help out during a push. The plane crashed on its return. She was 23 and from Detroit, Michigan.* |
