The band consists of vocalist Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots), lead guitarist Slash (Guns N' Roses, Slash's Snakepit), Duff McKagan, bass (Guns N' Roses, Loaded), Dave Kushner, rhythym guitar (Electric Love Hogs, Loaded) and drummer Matt Sorum (Guns N' Roses, The Cult). Having searched for a vocalist for nearly a year, they completed their lineup earlier this year with the addition of Scott Weiland. Formerly known as The Project, they recorded two songs for film soundtracks ("Set Me Free" for The Hulk and "Money" (a Pink Floyd cover) for The Italian Job) and later chose the name Velvet Revolver with help from Weiland. They plan to finish recording their album in the new year.
