NADA BRAHMAM - Divine Music
Have been learning carnatic music for sometime now and realised that there is little or no source that is easily accessible like the internet for lyrics of many carnatic compositions, although there are quite a few, it still seems inadequate:
www.karnatik.com
www.musicindiaonline.com(has streaming audio and some have lyrics)
www.bhajanasampradaya.com
www.oocities.org/sujsree/
My father helped me by translating some of the Annammaya Krithis during the summer of 2005 from a book that I borrowed from my guru and friend - Smt. Vidhya Kannan. This page is a small attempt to meet this need that I felt every student of music would like to see addressed, especially for those of the next generation whose opportunities to learn their native tongue, let alone that of other regional dialects is becoming rare. The page is therefore in Roman script.

Any help in annotating them or adding information such as meanings and anecdotes that I can add is always welcome. Please send any corrections also to me at m o n c o v at h o t m a i l dot c o m.
