"Playing with Mr. Greeley" is a dark comedy/drama, written, produced, directed and edited by Don Philbricht of Merrick, New York. The twenty shooting days of this independent feature film took place entirely on Long Island at multiple locations in the fall of '95 and in April of '96 and '97.

SYNOPSIS: Jack Holland (Russell Stewart) is a middle-aged family man bored with his routine life. One day he has a chance encounter with cantankerous old widower Howard Greeley (Jim Marcus). Amused by Howard's stubbornly sour disposition, Jack begins to harass and torment him for the fun of it. The lonely Mr. Greeley at first revels in the anonymous sophomoric pranks, until Jack's "games" escalate to less playful, more threatening acts of mischief.

The final cut of "Playing with Mr. Greeley" was completed in the summer of '97 and will be screened at various domestic and international film festivals. Mr. Philbricht gave credit to the Long Island Filmmakers' Network as the mechanism by which he found several of the production crew.
