Your neighbors have been answering alarms since 1901.
Just who are they?
THEY are your neighbors and friends, young and old, men and women;
THEY are teachers and plumbers, business people and craftsmen, local merchants and commuters. They are volunteer firefighters and you can be one of them.
We are asking YOU to take time out of your already busy lives to help us continue the 250-year tradition of American volunteer firefighting. We need YOU now.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER IN THE BRIARCLIFF MANOR FIRE DEPARTMENT.
1. CHOOSE a firehouse location nearest your residence -
Visit EITHER the main firehouse - Pleasantville Road - to learn about
-The Briarcliff Fire Company
-The Hook & Ladder Company
-The Ambulance corps
OR
Visit the Scarborough firehouse - Scarborough Road - to learn about
-The Scarborough Engine Company.
2. JOIN a Company that fits your firefighting interests -
Main Firehouse
-Hook & Ladder Co. - meets first Monday (every month)-8:00 p.m.
-Briarcliff Fire Co. - meets first Tuesday (every month)-8:00 p.m.
Scarborough Firehouse
-Scarborough Engine Company meets first Wednesday (every month)- 8:00 p.m.
3. We provide physicals (at the main firehouse) and will supply all necessary firefighting equipment.
4. Take a Basic Firefighter Course (39 hours) at the Training Center.
Now you are ready to serve your community as a firefighter!!
