| SPORT CLIMBING LEADER As for MEMBER category PLUS all of the following: Equipment: knowledge, care and proper use to be displayed. q Quickdraws – types, uses and limitations q Slings - types, uses and limitations q Petzl Gri-Gri and other auto locking belay devices - uses and limitations Knots: tying and appropriate use q Bowline q Munter hitch q Clove hitch q Figure 8 double loop/rescue q Figure 9 Skills: proper and disciplined performance to be displayed q Ancor set-up on natural protection and bolts. q Use of cordelette system q Basic knowledge of equipment rating systems q Correct bolt clipping while on lead q Cleaning of sport climbs q Belaying a second climber from the top |
