Our Vacation to Colorado - Sept.
1999
Our trip to Colorado was a very memorable one. We
went at my favorite time of the year when the Aspens are
turning. We stayed there 17 days in Golden, Colorado
with a long time friend of mine from when I lived in
Colorado 1977-1994. We took day trips which included
Peak to Peak Highway to Rocky Mountain National Park,
Boulder; I-70 to Eisenhower Tunnel to Dillon,
Breckenridge, Vail; Leadville, Independence Pass to the
Grottos, Aspen and the Maroon Bells, Glenwood Canyon;
Bailey, Kenosha Pass, South Park, Buena Vista, Salida,
San Luis Valley, Wet Mountain Valley, Westcliffe, Royal
Gorge, Garden of the Gods; Kremmling, Walden, Poudre
Canyon to Ft. Collins; Red Rocks. We had a wonderful
time and hated to leave. It was wonderful to share the
Rocky Mountains with my husband who had never seen them.
Hope to do it again in a year or so.
