Haiku sequence
by Victor P. Gendrano
Because of the brevity and sparseness of haiku, I sometimes opt to write a sequence of verses to better amplify the thoughts about a subject I am writing about. In this case, my poems of necessity become narrative in tone but still retain the haiku form. I call them haiku sequence. They are, of course, different from haibun which is prose poem, haiga which is picture poem, or essay which does not contain poems.
