March Haiku

by Victor P. Gendrano

Easter Sunday-
the morning glory greets
early dawn

a seedling rises
from the compost heap
warmth of spring

lover's game
searching for pussywillows
and each other

eye to eye
a bird peers through my windshield
sure sign of spring

at one with nature
she frolics in birthday suit
my daughter's daughter

springtime
wild flowers bloom
in boulder's crack

holiday shoppers
passing a homeless man
with empty cart
