Concert for NYC
This concert… quite a concert. This concert (which Jena so kindly taped… again, many thanks to her) was actually a plethora of bands… some good, and some not so good… putting on a concert for New York, and America, after the demolition of the World Trade center in 2001. This concert was the first concert they played together in quite a while, and sadly, the last concert John would play with them. A fact that makes this little treasure both sad and special. Although the set was short, a grand total of four songs. “Behind Blue Eyes”, “Won’t Get Fooled Again”, “Teenage Wasteland”, “Who Are You”. A set they preformed quite well whilst entertaining us with their crazy, Who-like antics. Not entirely related to the Who, but not even that far off topic, Adam Sandler and his Opera Man sketch starts off the evening with some hilarious material with the Who’s reunion and “Pete and Roger no more fight-ah.” Nice touch. All in all, this little wonder a Creepy Crawly of 4.
