Make up can make or break your costume. It is important to practice and expariment. sponges and brushes will end up being your main tools.

There are many different kinda of make up you can use. there is grease, cream, cake, liquid, and aquacolour.

Grease is what the real preformers use. but, you proly won't want to use it. just a note for ya. its pretty expensive, and hard to put on. its streaky, and doesn't look very nice. plus, its hard to take off (which can be good too.) I would recomend this to someone who has experiance with make up, and for someone who has a lot of time. otherwise, I would stay away from it.

Cream is a really good thing to use. it is a non water based make up and it goes on smooth and easily. this stuff lasts a long time, but the only thing is it is expensive. it costs me about 5 dollars (canadian) per colour. but it can be found almost anywhere. a good producer is Ben Nye.

Cake is also pretty good. it can be found in lots of places, its not expensive, and its waterproof. Yay for cake make up! (I only put that "yay" thing in there because I need to take up some space on this thing) the only bad thing about cake make up, is that you may need a few coats. :(

Liquid is not too good. well, it doesn't cost much and its easy to find but it cracks a lot. some are better than others but if you don't like cracking make up then don't get it.

Auquacolour is cool. it comes in lots of colours and its self setting! whee. but, it costs (yes, cost again) a lot and its NOT waterproof. overall, I wouldn't recomend it. I would stay with the Cream and the Cake make up.

PATTERNS! a page that is a work in progress. there are a few up, and if you want one done, e-mail me, and I will draw one up for you
