The first thing I made for this costume was the tail. I made it with "meathod three" or if you don't know which this is ( I am guessing you don't since I even had to check which on this is) It is the meathod where you knot a few strips of yarn onto a cord. I used white, off-white, light yellow, orangey yellow, brown, and a bit of black. simple and fun. That took about 4 days of on and off work.
the next thing I made was the warmers. I knitted (ugh) them using the same colors that are in the tail. and I also put a snap at the bottom that would connect them with the shoes. these took a while since I hate knitting and blah.
for the shoes, I tried to find some white jazz shoes but since I could find them, I used white ballet shoes. I sewed some felt over the part that would show my skin (elastic is better) and then sewed a snap onto the felt so that the warmer would stay in place.
For my wig, I went the cheap and easyway since I won't have to dance or run or anything like that in it. I glued on frayed yarn with a hot glue gun. It wasn't to smart since its a bit small for me now but I can manage.
The unitard was the frustrating part. It took a month to get here and I don't reslly like the paint job I did on it. I got a white unitard and bloched some grey paint onto it for thebase. Then I just took some squeezy paint and coloured on the stripes in brown and yellow.
