| This portion of the web site is designed to show how I create one of a kind doll fashions from discarded; mostly unwearable; Victorian black garments. Each original piece is aired, laundered when possible and examined carefully for damage, weakened areas or dry rot. All good pieces are kept and any usable fasteners, buttons and trim are salvaged to use on these or other creations. Large buttons are kept for hats. Any unusable portions are discarded but I try to find a use for everything, even the tiniest piece of lace or trim. |
