1) Sammy Morris 6'0 221
4.58 Texas Tech
FB
Can make his own hole. Runs decisively and can move the pile. Can
be worked at RB. Hard to bring down. Solid hands;can catch the ball
away from his body. Good balance. Has subtle side-step moves and
good vision. Needs alot of work as a blocker. Tends to run high and
does not make good contact on lead blocks. May be shifted to RB
to better utilize his cutback and swerve ability. Has not played alot
of fooball due to being ineligible for `97 and `98.

inside runner who has drawn comparisons to
Jerome Bettis for his powerful leg drive..."

2) Aaron Shea 6'3"

FB/TE/HB
Can be a dominant movement blocker. Can stick to his blocks
downfield. Has great hands; they were evident at the East/West
Shrine game, where he put in a stellar effort. A natural knee bender;
he can get low and punch well. Can make catches in traffic and off
balance. Will occasionally lunge and get turned while in pass-pro.
Needs to break more tackles.

secrets in college football...Devastating blocker with shifty
one-on-one moves..."

3) Deon Dyer 5'11"
260 4.97 North
Carolina FB
A real horse of a blocker. Can deliver a blow going through a hole.
Picks up blitzers well and makes them regret trying it; he strikes them forcefully. Has
decent hands and can be effective slipping out of the backfield for swing passes. Great
leg drive. Not the type who can
create; more of a straight ahead plower.
Dave Te: "He will surprise folks with his
impressive pass-catching
ability, but dont ever confuse his running skills with that of a tailback."

4) Aaron Harris 5'11"

FB/HB
This rank reflects a positive outlook on his recovery from knee injury.
Has not gotten back to the level he was at as a freshman, and if he
never regains his previous ability you can knock him down about 5
notches. At his best he is a tough inside banger who can catch the
ball and pickup real estate. Solid upper-body strength which he uses
to break tackles and pick up extra yards. Not a blow-up blocker but
shows promise. He does have alittle swerve ability but still prefers to
run on a straightline. One scout compares him to inujury plagued but
talented, Kevin Turner.

effective driving forward
for the tough yardage"
