Village Trails Book Club Click here for flier This is a great opportunity for leaders to encourage their girls to read! There is no cost involved, it's easy and it is so much fun. We have 20 copies of the book Loser, by Jerry Spinelli in our Library. This is a great book about a boy named Donald Zinkoff. Even though his classmates from first grade on have considered him strange and a loser, Donald Zinkoff's optimism and exuberance and the support of his loving family do not allow him to feel that way about himself. The recommended age level for reading this book is 3rd - 7th grade. Included with the books is a format that the leaders can follow with some book discussion ideas. Everything is ready for you to get started! To get started, call Kim Anderson to reserve the number of copies you will need and to ask any questions you may have. Make arrangements to receive the books and the format for the discussion. At this time you need to let her know how long you will have the books check out for. Distribute the books to the girls and pick a discussion date. The girls will read the books, meet for the discussion and have a great time. When finished, return the books! Also available are 12 copies of A Year Down Yonder and A year of Miss Agnes. Kim does not have a format ready for these books, but you're welcome to check them out as well. |
