The lotus is a symbol that is precious to many people of different walks of life. The lotus flower can be found in very many places of the world. This beautiful plant grows in water, and is rooted in mud. This can remind us that no matter our beginnings, we can always still become the beautiful creatures we were meant to be. Pink Lotus is the supreme lotus.
Welcome to my crochet nook on the web from the Land Of
the Bengal Tigers India! Hi my name is Vims and
I learned to crochet when I was around 12, but never
really learned the art till I was nearly 30! Once I
got hooked there was no turning back. I love to crochet
all kinds of things but love working with thread the most
as the temperature here can be a scorching 115 degrees.
My greatest and best motivator is my
daughter! I just have to tell her what project I have
started and what colors I intend using and then leave
it to her to motivate me! The first few rounds or rows
fly by quickly but then comes the motivation from her.
She says "mom you are the best crocheter I have ever
seen!" (not that she has seen anyone else crochet)
or she would say "these colors you have chosen
look great!" and sometimes "are you going to finish
this or not". Sometimes my son joins in too with
comments like this.
I have taught her to crochet and she has graduated
from making long chains to making circles using double
crochet! Yesterday we went and bought her a new
wardrobe but she insists that she is going to fill the
wardrobe with crochet stuff and not clothes! And she
is only 5 years old!!!!
I thank God everyday for blessing me with such
beautiful children.
A thought, from Jawaharlal Nehru:
"We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure.
There is no end to the adventures we can have,
if only we seek them with our eyes open."
