	Serial Experiments Lain is the story of a schoolgirl called Iwakura Lain and her encounters in the wired world. Set in the 'Present Time', a place where it is unheard of to be without a connection to the psudo-internet of the wired, Lain recieves mail from a girl named Yomoda Chisa. Nothing too unusual in that except that Chisa committed suicide a week earlier. From this, the previously technology inept Lain slowly becomes submerged in plots and power stuggles to which she is a key part. With outstanding artwork done in an original style, a storyline with intricate depths and a great theme song to boot, S.E.Lain takes the next step after Evangelion into a new direction for animation.
