	Who are The Whitlams? Unlike the name may suggest they are not a political activist group looking to bring back Gough Whitlam as Prime Minister, but a much loved Australian band. Comming out of Newtown, Sydney, they have been out there treading the planks of the nation and overseas for many a year now. They have released 4 albums plus a live CD, 8 singles, 2 promo cassettes, and a special release just for the members of FOW(Friends Of the Whitlams). The band has won three Aria awards, with more numerous nominations on top of that. The Whitlams are: Tim Freedman (the lead man on piano, vocals), Terepai (drums), Warwick, Jak (guitar) and guest muso Gubby (guitar). Two members of the original trio line-up were Stevie Plunder (guitar, vocals) and Andy Lewis (bass).
