1. STAFF DAY: On 26th August a 'Staff Day' is organized
wherein all the staff
members (both teaching and non-teaching) are invited along with their family
for the
occasion. There will be puja to Devi Saraswathi a small' talk appreciating
the
contributions of staff, presentation of mementoes$ to all followed by 'Lunch'.
2. NCC DAY: In the Academic year 1956-57the NCC was started
in our College. This
year happens to be the 'Golden Jubilee' of NCC. To commemorate the event
'Special NCC Day' is being organized on 6th September, 2007. The Director
General of NCC is likely to be the Chief Guest.
3. A NATIONAL SEMINAR: A National Seminar is being organized
by both
Departments of Economics and Commerce on 5th September, 2007. Besides an
Inaugural and Valedictory, eminent leaders in the field of Economics, Agriculture
and
Industry are participating. .
4. SCIENCE CONFERENCE: The Science Departments in our College
together
organize a Science Conference than seminar on 7 and 8thSeptember, 2007 in
order to
impress the Higher Secondary School Students to pursue their higher studies
in core
science subjects - Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.
5. PUBLIC FUNCTIONS: From 7 th September to 11thSeptember
five Public Meetings
are being organized in the evening between 6.00 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.
On 7th H.E. ESL Narasimhan, the Governor of Chattisgarh, Sri KVS Gopalakrishnan,
Minister of Indian Embassy, Germany and Sri M S Sundara Rajan, CMD Indian
Bank, have confirmed their participation.
On 8th Hon'ble Justice A.P. Shah, Chief Justice Madras High Court, Justice
R.Ramasubramaniam, Madras High Court, Justice K Venkataswamy, Former Judge
Supreme Court (Rtd), Sri Nageswara Rao, CEO IDBI have confirmed their
participation.
On 9th Sri T.S.Narayanasami, CMD, Bank of India, Prof.S.Ramachandran, VCUniversity
of Madras have confirmed their participation.
On 10th Dr. M.S.Ananth, Director lIT, Madras, Sri R.Seshasayee, MD, Ashok
Leyland and Swami Atmapriyananda have confirmed their participation.
On 11thH.E S. S. Bamala, Governor of TN, Sri S.Jayaraman, CMD, NLC, and
Sri V.Santhanaraman, Ed, Bank of Baroda, have confirmed their participation.
6. DRAMA: September 11 being Swamiji's Chicago Address Day,
Drama on Swami
Vivekananda by Vivekshankar is being organized.
