| Because we are NON-FUNDED We have to do things to raise money to keep doing rescue one way we raise money is to have Bake Sales. Lee Batenburg heads up and organizes our bake sales. she gets many volunteers from her senior group along with our own VOA group to help and donate bake goods. With out these fund-raisers we could not continue to do rescue. A Big Thank You to all the volunteers who help by baking and working at the sales....And especially to our Mother Lee Batenburg..... | Harv has built, delivered and donated 4 x-large dog houses . these dog houses are made of wood with double wall insulated and raised bottoms each weighing over 200 LB ... Also Harv has donated and delivered fire wood to keep our rescues warm... Thank You , Thank You , Thank You..... |

| These 4 men are donating their time service and labor to put a well in for our shelter ...Construction will begin first week in April ......We will also have a shower installed and a sink in the work area ..This is going to be one of the nicest things that has happened..we will also have a out side faucet ..no more running hoses from the house...I could say Thank You a million times and it still wouldn't be enough times.... | Richie was a very big part of our water being put in he came and worked hard for days on it. I will always be grateful to him . If you ever need some remodeling or new construction done give Richie a call he does great work... |

| TROOP 1586 WYOMING BROWNIES Meet Troop 1586 Wyoming Brownies . To earn their good citizen award they have made Voice Of Animals Rescue their project for the month of April. All during the month of April the troop will be collecting donated items for our rescued animals . On April 5th Voice Of Animals Rescue went to the Troops meeting . We took with us a few of our rescued pets and had a hands on demonstration on pet handling. We talked to the girls about the need for spaying and neutering . At the end of the meeting the girls presented us with gifts. They had made up bags of pet goodies to be given to the adopting families at our next Adopt A Pet Day . They also donated bags of dog food,cat food and cat litter which they gave to us to use on our rescued animals . What a nice thing these little girls and the troop leaders did. At the end of April we will meet with the troop again all of us at Voice Of Animals are looking forward to seeing all the girls again . Each girl took a pledge to always be kind and caring to all animals, and they included the pledge in each bag of goodies for the adopting families to sign.... THANK YOU *** THANK YOU *** THANK YOU |

| Voice Of Animals Rescue was invited to join in the Parade at the Mill Creek Days in Comstock Park which was put on by the Jaycees . what a great day we had we also was there selling crafts to raise money for a special little pup (Kelly) we had in rescue who needed surgery to amputate her leg. The Comstock Park Jaycees took our little Kelly girl under their wing and DONATED half of their proceeds from their golf game to our Kelly's Fund ...What a great group of caring people.... | The girls in TROOP 1586 did a FANTASTIC job in collecting pet supplies for us during the month of April... All of the items were delivered here to Sister's Haven much to our surprise and we were very delighted...Thank you Brownie Troop 1586 for all the wonderful things you collected and donated for our rescued animals...you are truly a great group of BROWNIES.... Thank You ...Thank You ... Thank You !!! |

| MEET SARAH |
| On 10-31-01 Sarah turned 4 years old. Her parents had a Birthday Party for her and instead of gifts for Sarah her guests were asked to bring a gift for an animal , food , toy or anything for a pet . On 11-3-01 Sarah and her mom came to Sisters Haven to deliver all the gifts . What a wonderful nice surprise for us and our rescued animals . Sarah loves animals and her and mom took a tour of the shelter and met some of the rescues here . Sarah was most taken by a Chi` mix who is blind she sat and petted him and he liked her as well . Thank you Sweet Sarah for being so kind and donating all the wonderful things to the rescued pets and Thank you to her parents too.... |

| On January 19th 2002 Karen and Lori presented Voice Of Animals with a $500.00 grant to be used for Spays and Neuters for family who may not be able to afford to alter their animal . This grant (VIP ) was for volunteering during the past 12 months. Karen and Lori both work at Consumers Energy. Their volunteer work reflects the CMS Energy family's commitment to enhance people's lives in as many ways possible. Voice Of Animals Rescue would like to thank Karen and Lori for all their hard work .... |
