Byron, Deborah (posted Sept 20, 2005)
My husband Duncan and I moved to Reston with our 2 kids -- Brooke, 24, and Chris 22 about 15 years ago. Duncan is working in the same business he has for years -- an attorney with a small boutique firm that does customs and international trade law. When we lived in Rockville Center I taught history at Molloy College and at a little school no one ever heard of -- 5 Towns College. When we moved to Northern VA I got my real estate license and sold real estate when not a house was sold in Northern VA. I gave it up to office manage a real estate office. Now the boom times have hit for real estate and I've decided I am not motivated enough for sales. My kids are grown -- Brooke is a financial analyst for Accenture and my son, who just graduated from NYU with a philosophy degree is walking dogs for a year while he applies to doctoral programs. It is amazing how different kids can be and it is great that they can make their own choices. I live close to my twin sister Bev and our children are very close both in age and friendship. It has been great for them growing up. That's it for now. I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. Calderone, Read (posted Oct. 1, 2004) Read’s 25 year old daughter, Gina, was featured on the nationally televised "While You Were Out." The show has the WYWO staff do a makeover on someone's home, while they were out... and Gina was out! The episode aired on Sept 17th -- No photos yet but they will be posted when available. http://tlc.discovery.com/fansites/wywo/episode/season3/episode01/episode01.html Cohen , Fred (posted July 1, 2005) I just received an e-mail about the 35th reunion from my lifelong friend, Owen Zibrak. I didn't realize that you couldn't find me. My e-mail address is fkohanna@comcast.net. After high school I did change my name from Cohen to Kohanna which was my original family name. I will try to attend the reunion but won't be able to make a decision about it for a few more weeks. Thanks for all your efforts in keeping the class information updated. Cascardi, Pat (posted March 1, 2005) Just wanted to let you know that I do not have a computer at home. Problems with it have left me using the computer at work – I can’t get personal emails at work, so please send emails to me in care of Steve (genghisaha@aol.com) and he’ll get them to me. I looked over the missing classmates list. Unfortunately, Neil Weiner pass away two years ago of cancer. He left behind a wife and two children. I am not sure of their ages. My brother-in-law was good friends with him. It's so sad to hear of anyone from our class passing on. I am in touch with June Dwyer. I don't think she has a computer either. But I will let her know about the site and about the upcoming reunion. Davis, Debbie (posted March 1, 2005) I received your email and I am doing great. I live in New Jersey now and have been married to the most wonderful man for 22 years. My husband is a dentist in New York and you can find me there working with him. We have two children, both in college now. My son goes to Boston College and my daughter attends College of Charleston, in Charleston, SC. I do keep in touch with Barbara Berkey, Maureen Loughlin and Angela Conerty. Take care, Debbie Dudley, Diane (posted May 1, 2005) I read the note that you sent Grace Ann and I can tell you that I personally had a fabulous time. I haven’t seen any of those girls in 35 years. It was great. I don’t know if you have heard from Karen Wagner, but she is a neighbor of mine, and I gave her the address of the web site. I also gave the web site address to Leslie Rosenblum. It really is a small world. I was telling my dentist about our mini reunion and he tells me that his wife went to South but she graduated in ’79. He mentions that she lived in Green Acres and I mentioned that I went to school by way of Jedwood Place. He then tells me that his partner’s wife lived on Jedwood – I ask who it is and he tells me Leslie Rosenblum! I couldn’t believe it. Then, Pat Cascardi mentions to me at the Irish Coffee Pub that her dentist is Jamie Bodner… UNBELIEVABLE! If there’s anything I can do to help, let me know. |
