Remembering Valerie Safarty Valerie had no children (she gave birth to a boy who only lived one month) although she would have been a great mom. She married a guy named Bruce Arann when she was 20 yrs old. She worked in the dietary dept. of Elmhurst Hospital till Diabetes took over the last few years and she became disabled and had her lower leg amputated.
