CHAPTER 6
Zac entered the restaurant and his brothers followed him close behind. There was a lot of video games and of course, good food! It seemed like a very cool place to hang. They sat at a table and a waitress came right over with the menus.
" Hi, my name’s Ashley and I’ll be your waitress for tonight. If you want to play video games now, you can just order after and uh…yeah. I’ll come back in 15 minutes. "
Taylor heard a voice behind him.
" Hi, what’s up? I’m Ray, this is Adam and Karla. You guys wanna hang with us? You seem cool. "
" Hi. I’m Taylor and these are my bros, Zac and Ike. That sounds cool Ray. " Taylor grinned.
Ray was dark skinned and he was wearing baggy pants with a basketball shirt. He had very short curly black hair. Adam was looking similar but his hair were brown and strait. They both seemed to follow the same trend as for clothes went. Karla was really pretty. She had long dark black hair tied up in a sloppy pony tail and her skin was practically glowing. She was wearing a blue GAP t-shirt and green flares which gave her the typical teenager look.
" So, you guys live nearby? We’ve never seen you around. "
" Actually, no. We live down in OK. "
" Oh, really? Cool! What are you here for then? "
" Um, we’re playing here tomorrow night and then we’re leaving so…yeah. "
" Playing…in a band as in performing? That’s so cool! We have a band too. What kind of music do you guys play? "
" Mostly rock and stuff, you? "
" Basically anyhting but country! Can’t tell you how much I hate country music! UGH! "
" Yeah. We’re no big fans either. "
" Anyone’s up for a challenge? If you beat me at LaserMan, I give you ten bucks! Up for it? Anybody? "Karla was very enthousiastic.
" I’m there girl! "
" Alright man! Betcha can’t beat me! "
" We’ll see about that! We’ll just see.! "
Taylor was glad they had met new friends. He just hoped to be able to hang with them again. That was the downside to being Taylor Hanson or any celebrity. You had to give up a lot to be able to do what you loved and it wasn’t easy. It meant less privacy, less time with you family and friends. It was tough but deep inside Taylor knew that following his heart and doing what he loved most was the right thing to do even with all the sacrifices he had to make.
