CHAPTER 10
I Need You by LeAnn Rimes
I don't need a lot of things,
I can get by with nothing
Of all the blessings life can bring,
I've always needed something
But I've got all I want
When it comes to loving you
You're my only reason,
You're my only truth
I need you like water
Like breath, like rain
I need you like mercy
From heaven's gate
There's a freedom in your arms
That carries me through
I need you
You're the hope that moves me
To courage again
You're the love that rescues me
When the cold winds rage
And it's so amazing
'Cause that's just how you are
And I can't turn back now
'Cause you've brought me too far
Her eyes looked up to a boy sitting on a bench beside a big redwood. « I must be hallucinating! » , she thought to herself. « I am not seeing this! This is not…oh my God! It’s Ike! » The joy sprung into her. « How can I be this lucky? » , she whispered. Carlin walked over to Isaac and grinned.
« Hi. »
« Hello…hey, I know you! You’re… »
« Carlin. »
« Yeah! You were at the movies right? »
« Yep! »
« I remember you, girl! »
« So, how are you? What are you doing here? »
« I’m good, thanks. I’m not doing much. Taylor is over there having a drink of water and Zac is running after seaguls. »
« Ok… »
« Yeah I know, he’s retarded! »
They both started laughing.
« You should go say hi to him. He’d like that. »
« Yeah? »
« Yeah! You’re all that he’s been talking about since he met you! Go talk to him! »
She blushed. « Okay. I’ll see you later Isaac. Thanks! »
