Its quite easy to become lost in the myriad of apartment buildings, subway stations, shopping centres and urban entities that make up Seoul. It isn't until one ascends one of the many mountains that surround Seoul (in this case Suraksan), does one really grasp the enormity of this city. This panoramic view constructed of seven individual photographs, illustrates quite conclusively how huge Seoul is. This is view is only north eastern Seoul. This area is referred to as Kangbuk. The mountains to the west (background) are Tobong San (to the far right) and to the left, Pukaksan. My apartment, is situated in amongst the dense complex of apartments in the foreground (the centre left of this photograph). |
