Too Cute to return... | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
STATS Breed: Lop Mix Weight: 5 1/2 lbs Age: Aprox. 7 months Color: Very handsome cocoa color. Some black trim and beige undercoat. Personality: Teddy is very sweet and playful. But at times he gets into quite a bit of trouble. He's definitely a chewer and our furniture has paid the price. He loves affection, eating, and sleeping. (As you can tell by the photos sleeping is probably at the top of the list.) |

Teddy was actually a pet store bunny. This was not my idea as I am totally against "buying" a pet when there are so many at the shelters. But my boyfriend brought him home and well ...he was adorable!! He claimed he'd always wanted a lop bunny and Teddy was just too cute to resist. But my conscience was bothering me, so believe it or not, I returned him to the pet store a few days later. As I'm sure you can guess, I missed him! I went back to the pet store to get him, and he was still there after three days. So I figured it was fate ... He was sold to us as a Holland Lop but after a few months his ears started going up. This is when we learned the meaning of the phrase "helicopter lop". At this point, the direction of Teddy's ears change almost daily. But usually it's one ear up and one down. (The picture above was staged. We held both ears down right before it was taken.) I think my boyfriend gave up on wanting a lop. Although he does make jokes about taking the "imposter" back to the pet shop. |
