WINDRIDER'S EASY GLIDER FROM THE "LOOK-WHAT-FELL-INTO-MY-LAP-NOW" DEPT. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
I had just finished a 2 hour drive to a remote Spa Hotel, for some much needed "together-time-without-the-kids", relaxation, massages, etc with my wife. Just as we were getting out of the car, my cellphone rang. My friend Patrick: "Would I be interested in doing a review on a new EPP sloper?" Silly question, offcourse would I be interested. But since the connection was bad due to the hilly countryside I was in, and because my wife's face was going into her "again those bl**dy planes" mode, we agreed I would contact him as soon as I got back home. When I picked up the box from Patrick's we discussed the review for a bit. The glider is aimed towards the beginners' market, so I should keep that in mind. No modifications, unless realy necessary. No adding ailerons, or motor (you're giving me ideas...) It turned out that we have here a fairly new product from the Windrider factory. Well known in foamy circles for it's Bat, Bee, Ele-Bee, and gigantic Queen Bee EPP flying wings. Windrider's products stand out because their wings are pressed foam cores, as opposed to the more common hot wire cut foam cores. So, as agreed, I will first build it with the beginner in mind. After some succesfull flights, I will "upgrade" and add ailerons (for some aerotowing maybe?). Click on the links below for further info. |
