My Hyperion SU-31 .25e | ||||||
Some like 'em, some hate 'em. Obviously, I like 'em... For a long time now, I've been lusting after a "proper" aerobat. My birthday was coming up, and I had been checking the various Chinese copies on offer at Hobby City. And then, while looking for a BERG4 Rx for my son's scratch-build Scratch I was visiting Bishop Power Products. And as is their habit, during special weekends they have some kind of special offer. This time it was a 10% discount, and free shipping world-wide! That made an original Hyperion SU-31 cheaper then the Chinese copy! I must add here that I ordered the green Sukhoi, which is the older version. The newer (blue) one has strengthened landing gear hard points, and a canopy latch (or so I was told) and is $90 more expensive. So, I took an advance on my birthday money, and started ordering. The Su from BPP, and assorted hardware from Hobby City. After a couple of false starts (not BPP's fault) a slightly mangled box arrived on my doorstep. The outside of the box caused me to take lots of pictures of the damage outside, before opening the box. A big **sigh** of relief, inside all was well with the world... On to the Build Pages! |
