77 Dodge Warlock - A Work in Progress
![](77warlockours.jpg)
This is my 77 Dodge Warlock.
I got it March 3, 2001, purchased from the owner of the new Dodge dealership in Edson, Alberta. The truck was originally purchased in Saskatchewan. Whoever the orginal owner was, was obviously very into Star Wars. I figure the murals were done shortly after purchase, as the movie Star Wars was also released in 1977. Judging by the snickers I have received while driving around, these will be the first to go!
I have a few extra pieces for the truck, such as two extra grills, a couple of doors, and a front bumper. The instrument panel in the truck currently will be replaced with the original that I have, which is in pretty good shape. It came equipped with the original AM/FM 8-track player.
The truck originally had a 360 cubic inch engine, that was removed and it currently has a 318. I will probably replace it with either a 360 or 440. The truck is 95% original...I just need to acquire sun visors (got!), side mirrors, 2 rims and the motor. The rest is cosmetics. The truck is green, so I will repaint it green when the time comes. The gold pinstriping is in fair to poor shape but it is there, so will be a good guide for reapplying the decals.
I expect this project to take awhile, as it is a leisure activity for me, and, my first restoration project.
Truck SOLD, NO further updates will be made to this page!! Good luck and have fun.

New Pics!
Added May 14
The instrument panel shown here is the old wood-grained non-original one, but we have since put the original back in (black with gold pinstriping). Pic to come soon.(As you can see, I used a little creative license on the rear fender, just can't stand those murals! There still is much rust and work to be done on the fenders - looks better though, huh?)
Okay. Here is the original instrument panel now installed. Pardon the crappy picture but the pinstriping is all there and it looks nice. We are now on the hunt for the clock and the tach that belong. Currently, we have 2 oil gauges and 2 temps!!, but one of each not hooked up.
QUESTIONS AND HOPEFULLY ANSWERS!!!
- What are the correct tailights for the truck? As you can see, the previous owner put trailer lights on, and I am also wondering about the backup lights - they are small on the bottom of the box...but I have seen on some sites where the taillight and backup light are all in one unit. - - - Thanks to J., seems I do have the correct back up lights!! yay.
- I am looking for 2 more original rims, hopefully from someone in Canada, preferrably Alberta!!
- February 2002 ---- HELP!! NEED GAS CAP!!! LOST ORIGINAL!!!
