Aimee Phillips on: Life, Love & Beauty
Aimee Phillips  on:  Life, Love & Beauty
by Gaisha Anne Rysee

Aimee Phillips, the “Heatherette-In-House-It-Girl”, was born and raised in the wilds of Woodstock NY and yes, all the rumors are true! By day she wields a PR sword, but by night she turns into a Heatherette fairy flitting around Manhattan to sprinkle her glitter-dust on all the party people.

Aimee Phillips on Life

GR: Aimee my dear, what is “La Dolce Vita” to you?
AP: The ultimate, ULTIMATE Dolce Vita for me involves laying on a sunny beach with vicodin, cocktails, and friends for all eternity, but taking practicality into consideration I’ll say that life is truly sweet if I continue to have a great job (check) great friends (check) great shoes (check) and someday a husband (for the love of God, please!)

GR: What is the center of the universe?
AP: The center of MY universe has always been and will always be New York City. Sounds cliché but I mean, come on. Where else?

GR: And Aimee, how do you plan to live out “La Dolce Vita”?
AP: I just want to be blissfully, retardedly happy. The plan varies from day to day.

Aimee Phillips on Love

GR: Aimee, what’s something that you just love?
AP: My life revolves around chocolate chip cookies, my dog Thurston, Heatherette gowns, makeup and hair magic, shrimp tempura rolls, Chanel costume jewelry, Scissor Sisters, my parents, summertime, and sleepovers.

Aimee Phillips on Beauty

GR: Aimee, who is the most beautiful person?
AP: Duch, The Duchess of Razzle Dazzle

GR: What’s something beautiful?
AP: Christian Louboutin 5 inch stilettos working in conjunction with M.A.C Russian Red Lipstick.

GR: Yes Ma’am!
When is it most important to look beautiful?
AP: I subscribe to the Dita Von Teese philosophy: don’t let them catch you off guard. Be glam at the deli at 5am!

GR: And tell me, Aimee, where do all the beautiful people go?
AP: In my experience, places where the “beautiful people go” are actually totally ugly and elitist. Give me Avenue A any day.

GR: And last, but not least, how does on “be beautiful”?
AP: Stay away from coke and you’re on your way.

GR: Well agreed, sister, well agreed!o!
