8 3/4 pigs are all interchangeable as a unit into any ot the housings.
8 3/4 weighs 235 lbs
8 3/4 suregrips are interchangeable as long as the same axle bearings are retained
8 3/4 pinion yokes are interchangeable as long as the splines are the same. 73 up 9 1/4 axle pinion yokes are interchangeable with fine splined 8 3/4 axles.
8 3/4 ring gear bolts before 1970 will not interchange with 1971 and later. A shoulder relief must be drilled into the 1970 and earlier units
F body 8 1/4 to B body 8 3/4 swap, Springs can be spead 1/4 inch to fit pads, if u-joints are the same, then the same driveshft can be used but will extend into the trans 3/4 inch.
rear universal joint (or pinion) angle = 5-10 degrees nose down (5-7 preferred)
front universal joint angle = 2.5 degrees or less
