about W4S73D__Y0UF: "i was born under a wondering star". Well thats how the song goes, but it doesn't really apply to me. i was born in guys hospital london on 17/10/77, the product of josi and lincoln. from 1984 - 1989 I attended st. george's rc primary school. those years were pretty non eventful. then from 1989 - 1994 i went to salesian college in battersea. again noting much heppened here. it was an all boys school run by priests, which i think is why i'm a bit of a deviant. things got better at st. francis xavier 6th form college which i went to from 1994 - 1997. this place was ace. no priests, party time, no uniforms and girls. fuckin' a. after 6th form, i messed up and decided not to go to university. i landed my self a job at hsbc in a clearing house setting up direct debits and standing orders. this sucked a ton of ass. so i was in this job and it was really getting to me. i was like only there for like 3 months and i decided to go to university after all. i went through clearing and found myself at the university of luton from 1997 - 2000. here i "studied" modern history with irish history. really, it was just a big booze fest. it was during this time that i got interested in miltary history mostly due to professor ian beckett who was head of the history department at that time. during my time at luton, i made a bunch of mates and generally just did a lot of drinking (glug, glug, glug). my dissertation was entitled "vernichtungsgedanske vs the armoured idea". it was around about this time that i decided that i wanted a job involved with history, so i started writing off to places like the imperial war museum in the hope of a job. |
during this time i did some research for professor richard holmes, on the social history of the british army. that was pretty much as close as i got to a job as a historian. i graduated in 2000 with a 2:1 in modern history and irish history ba honours with a tint in military history. after lots of refusal, i got really dejected with the whole history career thing and decided it was time that i got myself a job that was attainable. i joined the reed employment agency and tried to get a job. i ended up being placed at mondaq business briefing. this place sucked. i was there for like 6 months and couldn't take any more. i was a "researcher" which i thought would tie in with my history degree, but it was just data entry from the internet to databases. i bailed out and found myself at banham security where my father helped my land the job. i was general office help and this sucked also. banham is quite a well known company with very influential customers, but after working there, i don't know how they maintain this standard. i was there for 6 months also and then started temping. after a long period of unemployment (summer 2001) reed finally found me a job at victim support at around late summer 2001. this place was ace. i was there for about 3 months and then my time ran out. the people there were great. when my contract there ran out and i was unemployed again for ages. it wasn't until january 2002 that i landed another temp job at victim support. this was brill and i made some fantastic mates there. unfortunately, i couldn't stay there as my time was running out again. however, through one of my contacts at victim support, i managed to get a job at what was channel 5, but is now just five in the duty office. this is the best. i get paid to know about tv. sweet. in my spare time i like to play video games. other things that i like to do is party. i go to camden quite a bit, to the elephant's head and the electric ballroom. i also like south london pacific. i enjoy photography and own a leica digilux 4.1 megapixel camera. check out my photography page for pictures of things i like. stuff that i like: happy people, breakdance, kfc, bmx, the donnas, video games, tv, betty page, transformers, girls with fringes, 80's electronic music, ladytron, powerpuff girls, samurai jack. they rock. stuff that i don't like: moody / pretentious / false people, shitty pop music, busted, the beatles. these suck. especially busted who deserve slow agonising deaths. |
i'm a cop you idiot! |
