Wesakhapuja (Wesak Day Celebrations)
Dear Buddhist devotees & Well wishers,
The Temple Committee takes great pleasure in wishing you and your family GOOD HEALTH, HAPPINESS AND HAPPY WESAKHAPUJA. WESAKHAPUJA is a day that coincides with the Birth, Enlightenment and passing away of our Lord Buddha into Nibbana. It is an important day of dedication to Lord Buddha and an auspicious day in the life of Buddhist devotees.
A number of venerable monks will be in attendance to carry out blessings for Buddhist devotees. This year there will be a ceremony for offering of lights for the happiness (Sukham), long life (Ayu), beauty (Vannu) and strength (Balam) for all devotees.
A food pagoda will be put up with rice, sugar and oil donated by devotees and well wishers. Donations in cash and kind are very much appreciated. (A portion of the rice, sugar, oil and etc will be donated to various Old Folk's Homes and Handicapped Children's shelters throughout Melaka)
