In the Softball 7 and Under League we have incorporated special rules to make the game more active for the players whose age range from 5 to 7.
Players need to be 5 by July 31, 2005 and must be 7 years old or less on January 1, 2005.
The special rules we adopted were that we will pitch three pitches to the players and if they put the ball in play we play the ball, if after three pitches the ball was not put into play then we bring a tee out for the player to hit off. This has made the season go very well. It promotes a positive feeling for the batter and also give the players in the field a chance to make a play on the ball. |
