As I look at our flag flying high above I feel the need to weep I reflect on our beginning as a nation One under GOD, strong not weak Our kids in public schools, they're not allowed to pray Our President lies to us, Congress and before a Grand Jury No pride, remorse or even embarrassment shown All of the anger, hatred and fury What was once considered an X - Rated show To see people they no longer hide No shame for pornography, cursing or sin In our country and ourselves no pride All of the mayhem in our streets I cannot help but wonder more What our Founding Fathers would think Drugs, addictions and corruption galore This nation began with GOD in mind But, bureaucracy has taken control There used to be simplicity and faith But, GOD has surrendered His role It appears that sex and money are now our gods And this once great nation seems to be One nation like Sodom and Gomorrah My shame and disgust you see Patrick Wayne Hollier Copyright 2000 Patrick Hollier |

| AMERICA IS STILL THE BEST THAT THERE IS. JUST THINK IF OUR POLITICIANS WOULD BE ALL HONEST AND JUST. IF THEY REMEMBERED WHY THEY WERE SENT TO WASHINGTON. WHO THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT. IF THEY ALL BECAME A PART OF THE SOLUTION RATHER THAN THE PROBLEM AND ABUSING THEIR POWER GIVEN!! I still believe and have faith that this once great nation will return to prominance and no longer be disrespected by those who envy or abuse her rights! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! |
