| Heavenly Sunset Shades of red, blue, green and gold As this sunset before me now unfolds Glistening through the arriving dusk That I now witness as the smell of musk Floats heavy in the fragrant air Sweet sublime cannot compare As angels flapping with their wings To relay to me a nice cool breeze Favor with GOD I must have found To now be blessed with an amazing sound Of an angelic choir singing, " Amazing Grace " While celestial sites fall into place The beauty that now springs before As shades and hues fade darker more The angelic sounds that I hear Emerge from a church that is near But, for a time it seemed to come As though heaven above it was from As GOD had sent for me, yes me alone This peaceful moment, with heavenly tone Patrick Wayne Hollier Copyright 2000 Patrick Hollier |
