Summer Sunsets
Summer sunsets so pretty to see
All of the colors appear to be
Just a bit different than in other seasons
A brighter shade for some unexplained reason
The days are longer and brighter too
It seems that more sunlight enhances the hues
The days all last longer and are hotter it seems
This may be what causes the colors to gleam
All that I'm aware of is that for some unexplained reason
The colors are brighter in this particular season
People are usually outside during the day
And miss much of the beauty as the sun goes away
Because as it gets dark no more work can they do
Inside they miss all the beauty about to shine through
Blues and pinks, yellows and greens
Shining with brilliant heavenly sheen
As clouds appear so thin to section
Portions of sky in a westward direction
The colors all blend as the sun slowly sinks
Only till morning when it will rise in the east
