| Some poems that we read Go straight to the heart Does it have to be written By someone who's smart Why can some express What it is that they feel It's as though they were with us Through every ordeal Their words are our feelings So, how can they see What it is that we're feeling And they say it so sweet Why can they say it So much better than us It is we who have lived it And ourselves we should trust Is it that they're smarter So they make it sound real Why can't I express These things that I feel |
