A garvey is a flat-bottomed boat suitable for working in shallow creeks feeding into Barnegat Bay. A sneakbox is a small boat covered by wooden planks with a small opening that allows a hunter to lie almost flat and camouflage himself. Eagleswood is not shown on most maps. It lies on the Jersey Shore between Manahawkin and Tuckerton. The principal community is West Creek. |
