The Best of Weird Al's Stupid Club

This is the home of the Best of The Stupid Club, an online chat club dedicated to the Wild, Wonderful and Wacky, "Weird Al" Yankovic.

Stupid Club was founded by Betsy Manning, August 10, 2000 because Betsy dreamt up the name that evening and it made her laugh. Also, Betsy is quite verbose, and felt she was dominating the other clubs. She started with no expectations of membership, number of posts or popularity. But, soon Stupid Club became one of the star clubs at Yahoo! for Weird Al. Within a few months the club surpassed all records for clubs of this kind, crashing past 10,000 posts easily! We reached 20,000 posts in just under one year. Quite a testament to an active fan community!

Stupid Club was not born in a vacuum. Had it not been for the spirit of friendship and love that the existing Al clubs at Yahoo had created, it would not have been the terrific place for all of Al's fans that it became.

Membership to Stupid is open to all ages, male and female, anyone who wants to gab about "Weird Al" Yankovic. There is no fan one-ups-manship or preferred clique. Whether you've just heard your first Al song and like him a lot, or you are a long standing, dyed-in-the-washable-Rayon fan of Al's, you'll be welcome there!

About the only "rule" we have is to treat each other and other people with respect. This has never really been an issue. Everyone is just naturally friendly and supportive!

Stupid is a moderated club. Trolls, advertising for products that don't relate to Al, bad language and blatant personal attacks simply get removed by one of the four moderators.
