The Writer’s Block writer’s group was founded in Corry, Pennsylvania in 1999 by acclaimed writer and author Beverley Bittner, to bring together area writers and offer them workshops and lectures on writing.
Our writing group meets during the second Tuesday of each month to teach and learn the fundamentals of writing, and to support our members in the craft of writing. Our meetings are held at The Corry Public Library, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
We believe all writers start out the same way: rich in dreams. It is our goal to encourage each other and to help every member realize their dreams. Therefore, we are committed to a process of identifying individual needs and then structuring our group around those needs. We do not focus on critical readings of any member’s work unless that member requests us to do so.
If you live in or around Corry and would like to join our group, member fees are yearly dues of $10, which pays for group projects, book shows, and other events.
If you do not live in the immediate area and would like to become a member of our Internet site, drop us a line via our e-mail contact link. Membership to our Internet site is free.
We hope you enjoy your visit here, and we hope you’ll consider joining our group, either in Corry, or here.
