FRAMO-RECORD

Thomas Fuertig collection

This machine is the only known example of its kind.  It is actually a re-branding of the Commercial Model 11.  Its serial number is 19322.

Our earlier page on machines beginning with "A, B and C" includes other Commercial machines.
FRANCONIA

Thomas Fuertig collection

Little-known four-bank machine built in Germany, roughly from 1911-1914 or so.  Note the very odd position of the ribbon spools, which are at the sides of the machine and whose spool shafts are horizontal.  Serial number 520.
