Julie is a grand old lady, still competitive and milking well at age 6 even after years of simply dam raising kids for a few months and then drying off. For us Julie has proven to be a solid milker and would have milked far longer than her 197 days had we not gone away on vacation and had no one at home to milk. Unfortunately, only those does still nursing kids at the time were milked beyond the end of August. We especially admire her strong pasterns and what judges call ideal sized teats. She has one of the longest fore udders in the barn and one of the best rear udder arches I've ever seen. Her 2001 linear scores for mammary were fantastic, fore udder 42, rear height 40 and rear arch 44. Julie is bred to Deity for March kids.

Lauren was born in Frank Mickey's (Hy-Crest) barn though she carries the herd name of a local girl he often helped. She is one of those easy going does that nothing bothers. She'll milk well even with a busy show schedule and mid 90 degree heat for appraisal. She in fact finished her championship at 16 months fresh as a 3 year old milking through from the year before and with a BDIS under Billy Woodward to boot. In 2003 we took her out 4 times-She was BDIS at three of those shows. I appreciate her especially level topline, nice shoulders and beautiful all around mammary system.
