Catherine Meliot
(1645-1699)
Catherine Meliot was born on February 12, 1645, at La Rochelle, Aunis, France; the daughter of Francois Meliot and Marie Chanson.  She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Jean Routier.  They were married November 20, 1662 in Ville De Quebec.

Jean  was born in 1642 at St. Remi, Dieppe, Normandy, France; the son of Jean Routier Sr. and Rogiere Croussette.  He and Catherine would have seven children before his death on September 29, 1677.  She followed on September 23, 1699 at Sillery.
The Next Generation
Jeanne Routier - Was born on February 15, 1666 in Sillery and died on May 14, 1737 in L'Anciennes, Lorrette, Quebec.  She married Jacques Voyer and had at least one child.

Marie-Genevieve Routier - Was born on October 16, 1667 and died unknown in Sillery.

Marie-Charlotte Routier - Was born in 1669 and died unknown in Sillery.  She married Pierre Bezeau and the couple had at least one child.

Jean-Baptiste Routier - Was born on January 24, 1670 and died unknown in Sillery.

Catherine Routier - Was born on February 15, 1673 in Sillery and died unknown in L'Anciennes.  She married Pierre Drolet and the couple had sixteen children.

Marie-Catherine Charlotte Routier - Was born in 1675 and died unknown in Sillery.

Charles-Marie Routier - Was born on August 22, 1677 and died unknown in Sillery.  He married Brigette Angelique Lavoie and the couple had at least two children.
