Domestiques et Domestiques d'Indentured
(Domestics and Indentured Servants)
Another group of founding mothers came from amoung the domestics and indentured servants.  For these women, their passage and expenses were paid for by the French settler, in exchange for a pre-determined length of service.

Though not necessarily an incentive for population growth, many of these women did remain in the French colony, married and raised families; adding their names to the Founding Mothers of New France.
