A Marriageable Young Girl
Francoise-Jacqueline Nadreau
(1645-1689)
Francoise-Jacqueline Nadreau was born about 1645, at La Fleche, Angers, Anjou, France; the daughter of Jacques Nadreau and Marie Lebrun.  She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Michel Andre St. Michel.  They were married June 19, 1663 in Montreal.

Michel was born in 1639 in the Parish of Notre-Dame-de-la, Cambe, Bayeux, Normandy, France; the son of Richard Andre and Jeanne Poirier.  He and Francois-Jacquelin would have ten children before falling victim to the Iroquois on May 8, 1689.
The Next Generation
Marie-Gertrude St. Michel - Was born on April 02, 1664 in Montreal and drowned on November 20, 1665 at Lachine.

Gertrude St. Michel - Was born on April 05, 1666 and was killed during an Iroquois raid along with her parents.  She married Francois Morin Philippon.

Catherine St. Michel - Was born on February 20, 1668 and died on July 20, 1673 in Lachine.

Jeanne St. Michel - Was born on February 21, 1670 and died on September 04, 1687 in Lachine.  She married Jean Jouguea.

Philippe St. Michel - Was born on July 06, 1672 in Lachine and died on January 30, 1731 in Quebec City.

Petronille St. Michel - Was born on May 17, 1674 and was killed during an Iroquois raid along with her parents.  She married Charles Beloncle.

Marguerite St. Michel - Was born in 1676 and died on August 01, 1739 in Lachine.  She married Jean-Baptiste Brisbois and the couple had eight children.

Marie St. Michel - Was born on July 11, 1678 and died on April 03, 1685 in Lachine.

Marie-Angelqiue St. Michel - Was born on December 11, 1680 and died unknown in Lachine.  She married Francois Vinet and the couple had at least two children.

Louise-Madeleine St. Michel - Was born on July 13, 1684 and died the dame day in Lachine.
