Jacquette Vivier was born about 1633, at Thire, Fontenay le Comte, France; the daughter of Gregoire Vivier and and Clemence Adjourne. She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Jean Normand. They were married September 12, 1650 at Ville De Quebec. Jean was born in 1609 at St-Etienne, Sens, Bourgogne, France; the son of Francois Normand and Jeanne Boissel. Jacquette died childless on July 19, 1661 after being struck by lightening. Jean then married Romanie Boudet but died himself on April 23, 1666. |
