Jeanne Mericer was born in 1622 at Sables d'Olonne, Vendee, Poitou, France. She arrived in colony of New France as a Filles A Marier and was wed to Claude Poulin on August 8, 1639, at Ville Quebec. Claude was born on January 26, 1616 at St-Maclou de Rouen, Normandy, France; the son of Pascal Poulin and Marie Levert. Jeanne and Claude would have nine children before her death on December 14, 1687. Claude followed three days later on December 17. | |||||||||||||||||||||

Marie Poulin - Was born on January 01, 1641 and died on July 17, 1716. She married Julien Mercier and the couple had eleven children. Pascal Poulin - Was born on February 11, 1645 and died on June 08, 1661 at Ste. Anne De Beaupre, Ile de Orleans, Montmorency, Quebec. Madeleine Poulin - Was born on June 27, 1646 and died on October 18, 1682 at St. Joachim, Quebec. She married Pierre Maufils and had one son. Martin Poulin - Was born on September 26, 1648 and died on January 15, 1710 at Ste. Anne De Beaupre, Ile D'Orleans, Montmorency, Quebec. He married Jeanne Barette and the couple had ten children. Rene Poulin - Was born on January 27, 1651 and died on August 08, 1661. Ignace Poulin - Was born on February 02, 1656 and died on March 30, 1720 at St. Joachim. He married Marie-Marguerite Pare and the couple had five children. Marie-Jeanne Poulin - Was born on May 25, 1661 and died March 28, 1743. She married Etienne Lessard and had eleven children. Pierre Poulin - Was born on August 08, 1664 and died October 16, 1709 at Hotel Dieu in Ville De Quebec. He married Anne Giguere and the couple had nine children. Marie-Marguerite Poulin - Was born on October 18, 1658 and died on May 20, 1722. She married Jean-Gencian Amyot, son of Philippe Amyot and Anne Convent and the couple had eleven children. |
